Happy Birthday to Me!

For my birthday Evan took me to dinner on Great Diamond Island. Here are a few pictures from the boat ride over and the view from our table.

Mom's Visit

Mom had a great trip to Maine. We went to the Portland Head Lighthouse, the Nubble Lighthouse, we picked strawberries, and went to the Longfellow House.

Baby's Room

We have started preparing for baby. The past few weekends we have repainted the trim, primed the walls, and found this antique dresser at a garage sale. We are planning to refinish it, but here are the before pictures. The after pics may take a few months.... As you can see the people who owned the house before us started to paint the wood floors, and we didn't know until we pulled up the carpet. Now we'll have to finish painting them.

Spring

The lilac trees only bloom for a few weeks, but here is ours in full bloom this year.

Bad Dog

Ciela started chewing up the carpet right around when we found out I was pregnant.... The vet said she can sense that something is about to change and she's afraid she might get left out.

The Sea Monkey

I had to go to the Dr again today for another ultrasound, had spotting again this weekend, so we got new pictures of the sea monkey! I am happy to report that baby is just fine, but I am on "rest" for the next 3 weeks to be safe. It has grown since the pictures last week, and was wiggling around so the first pic is a little blurry. In both pictures it's hanging upside down and the head is on the left.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day we went for a cruise on the boat.

Maiden Voyage

This weekend was our first weekend on the new boat. Ciela was all geared up with her life jacket and she was a big fan of the bait. She even managed to score a squid head for a snack... We cruised around Casco Bay, and Evan and VJ stopped to fish a little.

Lake House

Saturday we went to Nate's Lake house for the start of Memorial Day weekend.

Mud Season

So spring has finally decided to show up here in Portland. Which means 30's and 40's at night, and if you are lucky you'll see 50's during the day, and usually lots of rain.... today turned out to be sunny and warm so I decided to get some work done in the back yard. Ciela's an expert at digging holes so she helped me plant the new rose bushes, and then decided it would be fun to play fetch with my gardening gloves. I was the one fetching....

Reggae Fest

Reggae Fest was last weekend at Sugarloaf. The weekend started off bad, we hit a HUGE deer on the way up (Evan swears it ran off and was ok). The skiing was average, it was so foggy it was creepy, but we still had a blast. Sat night there was a great Bluegrass band at the Brewhaus. I couldn't get over how many people there were.

Atlanta

We had a great time in Atlanta visiting Rob and Micah. Here are a few pics from the Braves game and Evan playing with Doc.
